Woodland Wildflowers

In between pulling garlic mustard I walk the woodland trail to the pond. The skunk cabbages are expanding and more ferns are unfurling. Tucked in here and there are woodland wildflowers coming into bloom. Here are some of the trail side beauties.

Solomon's seal, Polygonatum pubescens

False solomon's seal, Smilacina racemosa

Wood anemone, Anemone quinquefolia

Nodding trillium, Trillium cernuum
