And this fall has been spectacular.

At least I had a good laugh reading Macone's essay.

EllenEllen Snyderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09158932570826154360noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2194161742476128031.post-30496725310005336602013-10-19T21:30:52.509-04:002013-10-19T21:30:52.509-04:00Thanks so much for sharing this Ellen!
Although...Thanks so much for sharing this Ellen!

Although we now live in a condo complex, my wife and I have done our fair share of leaf raking over the decades when we owned a home.

Anyway, getting back to our current situation at the condo, the maintenance crew spends countless hours walking slowly around our complex with leaf blowers. My wife and I have often thought about going outside with our rakes (which we still own) and giving them a demonstration of how much faster it would be to rake rather than blow. But, most likely it would do little other than provide the two of us with a few fleeting moments of self-satisfaction. We highly suspect that raking would seem too much like that dreadful concept known as "exercise"! :-)

John
1HappyHikerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02242409292439585691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2194161742476128031.post-77874057256809292102013-10-19T20:52:14.973-04:002013-10-19T20:52:14.973-04:00Hi Ken,

Perhaps a contest to see who despises leaf blowers the most........... I can't even conceive of how they ever got started. Some inventions you can understand even if you don't like them for various reason. Leaf-blowers are something completely different!!Ken Januskihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16984782169460110520noreply@blogger.com
